At the very entrance of the medina there is the famous gate Bab lakhmis and straight to the hri souani and the stables and granaries of the sultan Moulay Ismail. After you can visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Most of the mosques and mausoleums are not open to non Muslims in Morocco, and this is one of the exceptions. The courtyard is so quiet, you’ll instantly understand that you entered a very sacred place.
Enjoy the beauty of the Islamic architecture. In front of the main square El Hdim, where you can see monkey and snake charmers stands the giant monumental gate Bab Mansour.
