MIDDLE ATLAS MOUNTAINS

You will be picked up from your location in Fez for a private sightseeing tour to the Middle Atlas region.
We will spend our our journey through the Berber villages. Our first stop will be the town of Immouzer Kandar, a big Berber village for a Moroccan vacation in the summer .
We continue to Ifrane, a lovely Alpine village that is also known as ‘Moroccan Switzerland’. Drive past the flower-lined paths and French style architecture of this quaint little town, built by the French on the Atlas ranges at the altitude of 1,665 meters ( 5,460 ft ) above sea level.

Continue towards the ancient town of Azrou ( the great rock in berber ) where you can enjoy an orientation tour. Azrou is flanked by steep wooded hills and a volcanic outcrop from which it also gets its name. See the houses with their typical green painted doors and windows and green glazed tiles. Wander through its famous Berber carpet souk /market , where you can pick up some souvenirs. Not far is the best-preserved cedar forest in Morocco. Enjoy the cool, quiet surroundings of this beautiful region. Catch a glimpse or even enjoy playing safely with monkeys leaping and swinging through the trees. Lunch in a local restaurant.

Continue your tour though Dayet Aoua, a lake surrounded by woodlands; the whole area is notably rich in birdlife. You tour ends back in the hotel /riad or the closest drop-off point you wish.
